We get these questions a lot. What fish are running on Long Island now? What is the best bait to catch striped bass? What fish are biting at Jones Beach? These are all great questions, we see a lot of different migratory fish throughout the season here in Long Island. We see runs of Striped Bass all through the summer and fall and A ton of bluefish as well in that timeframe. The Shark fishing also stays really good pretty much all throughout the season in the offshore waters of Long Island. We catch Striped Bass using a few different methods, we find drifting eels to be very effective for targeting these fish and also trolling with tubes. The inshore waters near Jones beach which we fish frequently hold good numbers of Striped Bass, Bluefish Fluke and more throughout the season. These fish will generally be biting from the early spring all through the summer and into October.

Long Island and Freeport in particular offers anglers the ability to experience a truly one of a kind and diverse fishery. From offshore Shark fishing and Tuna fishing to Inshore Striper fishing this area really has it all. We take full advantage of that and offer trips that target just about any species you can think of that swims in the waters of Long Island.
