Captain Ray specializes in Mako fishing, and there is truly nothing in the world like watching a Mako shark jumping 30 feet behind the boat at 9 knots. In fact, in one day on the water Ray once caught an astounding 9 Makos! Whether you're an experienced angler or it's your first time fishing, Carolann P Fishing Charters will provide you the exciting fishing experience you're looking for. You'll be fishing aboard 31’ fishing machine custom-built by Luhrs. A spacious vessel with twin 315 HP Yanmar Diesel engines, there is plenty of room for up to 6 anglers. Overhauled in 2019, she's rigged with modern GPS units, a fishfinder, radar, and VHF radios, along with all the necessary safety equipment. This boat is great for those who wish to fish in comfort. There is a full galley, air conditioning, TV, DVD, microwave, restroom, shower, and bunk beds all on board

Freeport NY Fishing Report 

The Shark Fishing has been unbelievable for the past few weeks and is probably only getting better. We are catching Sand tiger sharks, Blue Sharks, Mako Sharks and even the ocasional white shark. As a reminder we do not target Mako and White Sharks due to their protected statuses but we have definitely been seeing good numbers of them caught as a bycatch. The Shark fishing on Long Island will probably only get better through august and into September. We have a few open dates so dont hesitate to book now!
