What a great day on the water, couldn't ask for more action! Summer fishing in Freeport, NY is always a treat, and this late afternoon trip with Brad was no exception. We set out from Jones Inlet Marine under partly cloudy skies, perfect conditions for our 4-hour adventure. The water was inviting as we headed out, ready to target some stripers. It's always a pleasure to guide folks on these waters, especially when the conditions are as good as they were. The Shark Fishing has been unbelievable for the past few weeks and is probably only getting better. We are catching Sand tiger sharks, Blue Sharks, Mako Sharks and even the ocasional white shark. As a reminder we do not target Mako and White Sharks due to their protected statuses but we have definitely been seeing good numbers of them caught as a bycatch. The Shark fishing on Long Island will probably only get better through august and into September. We have a few open dates so dont hesitate to book now!
